Christening Card
I was asked to make a christening card for a boy which can sometimes stump me, so here it is. I embossed the backing on the left and used chalks to highlight 'Gods Little Miracle'. Coloured a Digi image with promarkers and threaded ribbon through the holes of the shape.

Christmas in August Challenges
Used Christmas Crackers Die Cut Decoupage with gold and spotted card for matting and layering. Then sparkly glitter for snow/star dust. Quick and simple card that I think is effective.

Just Cute Bears Challenge
Just Cute Bears Challenge, Pink and Brown 29/8 I've found the most gorgeous, cute blog thats all about bears...YAY. I love teddies and when I saw the colour theme for this challenge I just had to give it a go. I very rarely mix colours and so this one was something of a different nature for me. But I am very happy with the result.....I hope you are too.

Mum and Daughter Time
This afternoon Lily and I did some colouring of images, using a gorgeous image from Beccys Place we both did very different bears. Lily is only 8 and despite being a very very clever little girl her colouring in has never been a strong point. After having a little discussion about shading etc., and how to use promarkers properly she came up with this little cutie....which I think is fantastic.
And this is what I did with my little bear. Sorry about it looking a bit lop-sided I had the camera slightly twisted.

Christmas Challenges
Having had a great start to my challenge entering I've decided to have another go...this time using a fantabulous little image from Sew Many Cards, thank you Jeri.
The Challenge this week is Sew Many Challenges #23 'Christmas in August'.
I've also had a go at sewing on card using the little provo craft sewing machine my hubby bought me a few years back. Its another of those items we buy and put to one side promising to use it, but then we never do. After seeing the gorgeous creations on Sew Many Cards I decided to dust off the box, get out the machine and blooming well have a go!!!! AND...it worked. I actually expected the battery to be dead but it wasn't. It took a few attempts but then it came together. Thanks SMC for the inspiration.

Home Workshop
Today I've got some of the lovely ladies from my School Card Workshop coming round to do a session. Have decided to do a Christmas Shaker Card with them and the children are all doing easier Christmas Cards. Should be fun.
Was a great afternoon and my thanks to Jayne and Marrianne for coming. We made the shaker card with lots of time to chat and have a cuppa and cake!!!! The children had good time too and made a card of their own. Well done to the three of them.
This is the card that the children did. The one on the left is the card I did for them to copy from, and the card on the right is the one my 8 yr old daughter did as part of the childrens 'class' Horse Image from Cuddly Buddly
This is the card that the adults did. Though I didn't get a picture of their cards these are the sample and example cards I did for them to see and work from.

First Ever Challenge Entries
I'm going to have a go at entering challenges with my cards. This is the first card I've done for them and there are three I can enter having followed the themes. Digital Tuesday Challenge 72 'Scraps' - Sew Many Challenges 20 'Stitching' - ABC Challenge 'B is for Blue' - Totally Gorguss 'Star' #44 'Star'
Using up scraps of paper is something I recently started a discussion about as my tray was piling up. So taking this theme in hand I used three different strips of paper and cut 3 squares and made them into a patchwork effect. I then drew faux stitching round every square and the main card, plus he has stitching on his clothes. The image is from SJs Little Musings 'Archie' a favourite of mine at the moment. I also used scraps of card and ribbon for the sentiment, and punched the stars from another scrap. Fortunately the colours were all in the blue range.
He is Scrappy Boy!! The attempt was to make him look as though he's been out playing around, a bit scrappy and muddy in places.

Get Well Card
My hubby asked me to do a card for a lady at work
who has become ill recently with Cancer. I love this
image and couldn't wait to use it for something.

New to Blogging
Phew! I am totally confused. I decided to actually go ahead and do a blog. I haven't a clue what I'm doing, but I'm sure it will all come together eventually. I have a great set of friends who will no doubt answer all my millions of questions.
I hope to post photos of cards and life etc as I go along.
Please come back often and see what a 'mess'... I mean...good job I've done.
